The project began with an unusually explicit product and architecture definition. On 26 July 2026, the repository locked the initial users, workflows, security boundaries, technical stack, legal-source policy, and review model.
The decisive idea was to treat a material legal claim as the primary unit of control. One document can contain propositions with very different evidentiary quality, so a single document score would be too coarse.
The same definition separated useful automation from final legal responsibility. A system route could allow an item into internal working material, but it could not stand in for lawyer approval, supervisor sign-off, client delivery, or legal correctness.
The technology decision favored a modular monolith with separate web, API, worker, and scheduler roles. That created a practical implementation path while preserving provider adapters, durable jobs, and future hosted or private deployment boundaries.
