Building Product Media Without Private Photos

Synthetic fixtures made the product visible without exposing the contents of a real Photos library.

Expired's product story depends on a Photos library, which makes ordinary screenshot capture risky. The repository addressed that problem with an explicit UI test fixture mode. It supplies synthetic asset labels, stub permissions and scanner services, a fixed reference date, and in-memory persistence. Normal launches do not activate the fixture configuration.

The resulting simulator set covers the trust surface, scanner suggestions, tracking, expired review, deletion confirmation, privacy settings, and the Pro screen. A silent 26-second preview was assembled from those captures.

These assets are useful demonstrations of interface states, but they need honest captions. Fixture scanner output can supply categories that the production candidate filter does not currently reach.

The images therefore demonstrate designed and implemented surfaces without serving as end-to-end evidence of live receipt or document detection.
