Mister M began in this repository as an unusually detailed set of product boundaries. Before the interface existed, the definitions established the central Path concept, the sensei rather than sentinel metaphor, a local-first privacy position, explicit non-goals, a conversational user journey, and a layered technical architecture.
On 26 June 2026, the Git history moved from those definitions into an iPhone project. The first implementation sequence created the Xcode targets, application shell, domain boundaries, design system, dojo-inspired background, reusable chat components, capability states, settings entry points, and testing discipline.
This order matters to the product. The early code did not begin with an unbounded chatbot and search for a purpose later. It began with a narrow promise: help a person return to the Path they chose without tracking, nagging, or pretending that generic text is personal guidance.
The codebase grew in small, heavily documented batches, but some early placeholder names and capability scaffolding survived into later phases. The current project is architecturally mature and still needs a careful reality pass between definitions, runtime wiring, and public presentation.
