The project did not always place recording at the center. Phase 3 records a deliberate shift away from a task-list-first prototype and toward a capture-first instrument.
The home screen was simplified around one prominent Record and Stop action. Extracted tasks moved into a secondary review surface with clearer dates, windows, places, preferences, and supported editing.
This defined two different moments in the product. Capture should be fast enough to preserve a spoken obligation, while review should be slower and more accountable because generated wording and timing can be wrong.
Full transcripts became less prominent, export moved one level deeper, and inferred date windows remained visible but not fully editable. Those costs stayed visible as the capture-first hierarchy shaped later privacy, accessibility, widget, and Live Activity work.
