The second and third phases established the local content pipeline. iPhone and iPad gained PhotosPicker selection, while Mac added file selection and drag-and-drop. Both paths produced shared import payloads rather than platform-specific domain records.
Imported bytes were copied into SnipDig-managed local storage. Original Photos or Finder items remained outside the app's deletion boundary, local hashes and source identifiers filtered duplicates, and thumbnails made accepted assets visible in the Library.
The next step added an Apple Vision OCR service, a serial processing queue, batch controls, confidence settings, and repository-backed OCR blocks. Screenshot detail could display and copy recognized text while the Library exposed completion, pending, failed, and retry states.
The milestone converted a visual collection into structured local retrieval material while leaving an important limitation visible: screenshot metadata and OCR blocks still used an in-memory placeholder store.
