The palette began as a keyboard route to open tabs, recents, notes, and basic actions. It then became the center of TextRay's retrieval model as search expanded from literal matches to punctuation normalization and conservative typo tolerance.
Fixed ranking keeps the result order explainable. Views extend the same idea by storing a query and running it against current files instead of moving notes into folders or tags that own them.
Suggested Views use explicit thresholds and local usage metadata. Visible navigation to a selected match remains incomplete because the production editor does not yet scroll to or highlight that result.
