Strengthening the File Boundary

Atomic writes, conflict states, imports, backups, and local trash made the consequences of ordinary-file storage explicit.

A shared atomic writer reduced partial-write risk. Missing files became visible workspace states. External modifications gained Reload and Save Copy choices, while metadata rebuild, top-level import, folder backup export, and local-trash services widened the recovery surface.

These additions reinforce one principle: document content should outlast disposable or damaged workspace metadata. They also reveal its cost. Files can change outside the app, and pending editor text can exist ahead of disk.

Later audits found unresolved gaps across lifecycle and destructive-action boundaries. The work is meaningful engineering progress, but it is not release qualification.
